THE ROLE

Initio Capital is hiring a Venture Scout to identify and introduce qualified founders who may benefit from our services in Houston. This is a remote independent contractor role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify founders and startups that match Initio's current qualification criteria.
• Conduct initial outreach and assess whether an introductory meeting is appropriate.
• Obtain the founder's consent before making an introduction.
• Provide relevant context and maintain accurate activity and follow-up records.
• Represent Initio professionally without making guarantees about funding or business results.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Active relationships in the local startup community.
• Experience in startups, venture capital, angel investing, accelerators, partnerships, business development, or a related field.
• Strong judgment, communication, follow-through, and respect for confidential information.

SCHEDULE AND LOCATION

The work is remote and self-directed. The contractor is expected to develop relationships in the Houston market and manage activity consistently.
