THE ROLE

Initio Capital is hiring a Startup Community Scout to develop the local startup pipeline, qualify founder prospects, and schedule meetings in Los Angeles. This is a remote independent contractor role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and maintain relationships across the local startup community.
• Identify founders who match Initio's current qualification criteria.
• Conduct structured outreach and secure interest from qualified prospects.
• Schedule qualified meetings and track pipeline status and follow-up accurately.
• Protect community information and never share mailing lists or personal data without permission.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current involvement in the local startup community.
• Experience with accelerators, incubators, founder events, coworking communities, universities, or ecosystem development.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, organization, and judgment regarding consent and privacy.

SCHEDULE AND LOCATION

The work is remote and self-directed. The contractor is expected to develop relationships in the Los Angeles market and manage activity consistently.
